I didn’t really understand God’s plan for my life, but I chose to TRUST him and the PROCESS he has put in place for me.
Here I am in the beautiful village of Soufriere, St Mark Parish, planning the biggest assignment that he has given me. Following his instructions to feed the elderly, disabled, the sick and under underprivileged.
Working alongside my friends Mr and Mrs Lewis, who grasped the vision and became one of my main sponsors on the island under their business named: Teacher’s Place.
We began yesterday 1st November 2024 by me being driven to see who I call Mr P.
Mr P is an amputee, who I met last year in Soufriere. Whilst in prayer the Holy Spirit said I was to help someone in need and Mr P was brought to my attention. Yesterday has been a year since we met in person and I gave him his goodies that I bought for him from the UK. Mr P was electrocuted whilst on the job and lost both his arms up to the elbow. I have written to some companies who supply prosthetic limbs and also some theatrical companies who may have provided such for films and the stage to give Mr P that little bit of added indepence.However, I am absolutely amazed at his tenacity and perseverance to help himself as best as he can.
The journey then started to town to meet with some of our suppliers, who will provide some of the poultry, fresh vegetables, home grown cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, lettuce etc.
These suppliers are based in the market of a town called Roseau in Dominica.
I’m thankful that I can work alongside Mrs Miriam Lewis, who knows the people of Soufriere, Galleon and Scotts head.
We have drivers in place to pick up and drop off those who are unable to walk far distances, plus deliver a meal to all those who are housebound. As the days have gone by from my landing in Dominica, I have met and ministered to various people in and out of Soufriere. God has entrusted me with this assignment, and I aim to fulfil it to the best of my ability. The team that I have selected is composed of three Chefs, myself, Mrs Miriam Lewis and Miss Lucia Lander. Drivers are: Mr Wellington Lewis & Mr Angus Tavernier I have six young helpers on the day who will be supervised by Mrs Tapea Frederick.
